This photo series documents a Breathwork & Ice Bath experience focused on self-care, emotional release, and reconnecting with the body.
In a world that constantly demands our attention, productivity, and movement, I believe spaces that invite people to slow down, breathe, and care for themselves are incredibly valuable. That is one of the reasons I genuinely enjoy photographing wellness and self-development events.
Throughout the day, participants explored breathwork practices and ice baths, moving through discomfort, vulnerability, courage, and relief. As a photographer, it was fascinating to observe how emotions appeared not only on people's faces, but through their entire bodies — in posture, movement, tension, release, and connection with others.
What made this experience especially meaningful was the trust of the participants. Many people allowed themselves to be seen during deeply personal moments of vulnerability, openness, and transformation. I believe there is something powerful about making these moments visible. They remind us that it is okay to feel, to cry, to be afraid, to let go, and to take care of ourselves.
My goal with this project was not only to document the event, but also to capture the human experience behind it — the moments of presence, courage, connection, and emotional release that unfolded throughout the day.
