*“What does this shoot mean?
This is one of my favorite shots from this session.
As you know, my photoshoots often reflect or amplify, finalize or strengthen certain moments in my life.
Here is the story of someone who finds themselves in circumstances where they don’t belong, who doesn’t fit the ‘dress code’ of the place. They had other goals, tasks, and plans… but.
But in these circumstances, they don’t just survive—they create a new version of themselves. They do it with confidence and dignity.
They become part of the element itself. They adapt.
This is a parallel to the war.
We thought we couldn’t survive COVID, but we adapted rather quickly.
War is a type of life where you have to recognize, find, or invent meaning for yourself. Humanity is incredible! We will overcome!
One day, all of this will remain as memories. With scars, tears, and hope—but it will be in the past. I can already imagine that day, the one they will call ‘Victory Day’ 🥹 and sooner or later, it will come!
Personally, I’ll cry a lot, and I think I’ll collapse to the floor when I hear, ‘Irma, it’s over.’
God, how much I want to hear those words 🙏🏻
For now, we have to fight for our legitimate rights… and this is only the beginning…
We have to keep moving forward and protect what is most valuable—our souls!
Never, for any reason, at any cost, let them take that away.
